El G.Nie, born Eliezer Gabriel Nieves, is a hip hop artist, spoken word poet, motivational speaker, songwriter and author who uses impacting words, combined with unique delivery, to positively inspire his audience. He consistently credits God, his family, and his love for the community as his three main sources of inspiration. Whether through music, poetry, or speaking, El G.Nie uses his life experiences, as well as creative imagery, to invoke emotional responses from listeners.
As a hip hop artist and spoken word poet, El G.Nie has shared his musical talents with audiences all across the world. He has performed in venues such as The Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York City, The Orpheum in Tampa, and the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. To this date, he has released two full-length projects, Mental Piece (2014) and Zoned Out (2015), along with singles such as "What You Need" featuring Donnavin Justin and "A New Time" featuring Corinna. As an alum from the University of South Florida, El G.Nie won the Ultimate Bull Talent Show 2016, along with his two amazing co-performers: Sabrina and Donnavin Justin, and performed center stage for the USF Homecoming Carnival ’16 with his incredible live band. In 2017, El G.Nie joined forces with multi-talented musical genius and 2x Latin Grammy® nominated flutist, José Valentino to create a video series entitled “Saxy Hip Hop Sessions.”
El G.Nie plans to continue to travel the world, spread his gift, and motivate people to better their lives while bettering the lives of others. As he was quoted in the Osprey Observer, his “goal is to inspire and reach out to the people” in ways that modern artists are not utilizing. He is currently working on a benefit project aimed to raise funds and rebuild Puerto Rico after the devastating Hurricane Maria.
